Arch + Cable | Visit Mankato

You’ve decided to book your stay at Arch + Cable Hotel to indulge in an elevated, luxurious experience but have no idea what to do while you’re here? We can help with that! Working with our friends at Visit Mankato, we’ve put together a list of a few things to see, do, eat, and drink while you’re in town.

Let’s Adventure

Do you like to immerse yourself in local art and culture or do you prefer to partake in outdoor adventures? Great news! Whether you answered art or outdoors, Mankato has something for you.

Mankato is a regional hub for art and culture. You can take the City Art Walking Sculpture Tour year-round in the City Center of Mankato and North Mankato. Sculptures are placed in the tour by artists for a one year period, so each year there are new displays to check out. If you’re looking for an indoor art experience, check out the historic Carnegie Art Center or the 410 Project.

For biking and hiking enthusiasts, Greater Mankato features some of the best trails in the state. Rasmussen Woods features 150-acre track perfect for observing wildlife, including five miles of hiking trails.

Minneopa State Park offers gorgeous scenery, including beautiful waterfalls of Minneopa Creek. Running through the enclosed 331 acres of the park is Bison Drive which offers a unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of the herd of bison.

Shop ‘Til You Drop

Who doesn’t like to explore local shops when visiting a new place? Greater Mankato offers hundreds of shopping opportunities throughout the community. If you’re locking for a distinctive blend of specialty products, local artisan wares, and “just what you’re looking for” gifts, you can check out Front Street, Belgrade just over the bridge in North Mankato, and Old Town on Riverfront Drive, just steps away from Arch + Cable.

Working Up An Appetite

Being located in downtown Mankato, staying at Arch + Cable is great for travelers that are in search of dining options close by. For upscale eating, check out the homegrown restaurant with a liberal touch of class known as Number 4.

Nolabelle Kitchen + Bar sources ingredients from local and regional producers to create tantalizing appetizers like the roasted brussels sprouts - you HAVE to try the roasted brussels sprouts.

If you’re up for venturing around try, head to Swiss and Madison on Mankato’s hilltop. Sink your teeth in to a prime rib sandwich on a toasted bagel, a tender eight-ounce sirloin, or keep things lighter with a spicy BLT and cup of soup.

You could also indulge in the perfect burger at The Boulder Tap House, voted best burger joint in the Mankato Free Press Best Of 2022

Pour Me a Drink

Greater Mankato’s wineries and breweries provide a unique experience and entertainment options from tours and tastings to live music and more. Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery sits on the right bank of the Chankaska Creek near Kasota, MN and is the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine and try out their new exquisite menu.

Need a drink and want to be a part of history? Mankato Brewery, which opened in 2010, was the first production brewery in the community since 1967! For a wide range of approachable beer styles, check out LocAle who offers crisp lagers, juicy pale ales, tart and fruity barrel-aged sours, and more!

To highlight every business worth visiting in Mankato would take pages and pages. Seriously, there are so many great experiences offered in Greater Mankato. Start your bucket list and begin checking it off during your next stay at Arch + Cable Hotel!
