Opening Fall 2023 Arch + Cable has a mission of providing an elevated, comfortable stay for each of our guests that is unmatched. This can only be done with passionate staff who share a commitment of providing attention to detail and an experience that feels simple, refined, and intentional.

General Manager

OVERVIEW

Responsible for overseeing the operations and guest experience of two new boutique hotels in downtown Mankato to ensure exceptional customer service and revenue growth. Arch + Cable is a 20-room property, located in a multi-use building and we started welcoming guests in November 2023.

Arch + Cable offers and elevated, endlessly comfortable stay. Our boldly simple, modern, and high-end hospitality immerses guests int the distinctive and unforgettable elements of our region. Located in Bridge Plaza, we are a convenient boutique option for guests looking to explore Greater Mankato.

The General Manager will oversee the staff and experiences across two properties, with the second, Hotel Alexander, a 28-room standalone hotel slated to open late Spring to Early Summer 2024.

Responsibilities:

· Hiring/training of staff

· Managing hotel reservations

· Revenue/Rate Management

· Continuous competitive rate analysis

· Budgeting + forecasts + inventory

· Establish processes and procedures for operational efficiency.

· Cloudbeds PMS + P.O.S. Management

· Ensure company standards, vision, mission flows into every guest interaction.

· Group + event booking management.

· Oversee and respond to guest feedback.

· Staff performance reviews + career planning

· Provide monthly ownership reports citing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as guest feedback, upcoming events, reservation momentum, future needs, etc. 

· Develop weekly staff newsletter.

· Lead sales initiatives and brand partnerships.

· Create and maintaining policies + procedures.

· Develop promotions that are timely and relevant based on occupancy rates, competitive hotel pricing and local events

· Oversee marketing and events flow through channels, (organic social media, website, Arch + Cable newsletter)

· Management of Outside Travel Agency (OTA) promotions and incentives (Expedia,  Travelocity, etc)

· Abide by all State of Minnesota Health and Safety Standards

· Build “up-sell” experiences and opportunities to enhance guest experience.

· Oversee lobby + conference room event bookings and execution.

· Manage relationships and revenue for in-room service partners (Menari Body Works, Aesthetic Creator, etc)

· Foster relationships with local business with emphasis on Old Town businesses for cross-marketing promotions

· Create partnership with local businesses to showcase regional products and services.

· Uphold the highest standards of in-room cleanliness + oversee housekeeping.

Qualifications

· Degree in hospitality/tourism preferred, but not required.

· Experience in hospitality/hotel management.

· Experience managing and developing cross-trained staff.

· Building and executing profitable proposals and events.

· Ability to utilize full suite of Microsoft applications.

· CloudBed and/or hospitality technology experience preferred, but not required.

Candidates must be willing to:

· Work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

· Commit to delivering high levels of customer service.

· Plan, budget, manage properties and staff to establish Arch + Cable and Hotel Alexander as a leader in the hospitality industry.

· Work in various positions and train staff in areas of  front desk, event execution, housekeeping and laundry as needed

· Serve as quality control for our property, staff and the services we offer as on-site experiences.

· Create experiences and relationships with individual guests and businesses to foster repeat business.

· Manage on-call schedule for staff and operations.  Be available to answer staff and guest inquiries in real-time.

· Think outside the box to enhance operational efficiency and create business development opportunities.

· Develop a cross-trained team and build a collaborative, positive culture that enables staff to be their best representatives of our brand.

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and initiatives.

· Serve as brand ambassador and face of the business in the community.

GUEST SERVICES SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW
Responsible for front desk & housekeeping operations while maintaining high standards of hospitality + care.

TYPE
Day Shift, Part Time, Hourly


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate guest reservations + check in

  • Turnover of rooms + laundry

  • Complete reporting as required by general manager and ownership

  • Respond to reviews on TripAdvisor, Google, Yelp, etc.

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by Manager

Candidates must be willing to:

  • Work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays

  • Commit to delivering high levels of customer service

  • Desire to develop as a leader in the hospitality industry
