MSU Homecoming Week

It’s homecoming week at MSU! A fun packed week of events kicks off tomorrow and we wanted to create a guide for all of the exciting activities the college has planned.

October 3rd

You know it’s going to be a great homecoming week when the first event planned is a Lego building contest at CSU Hearth Lounge. You really can’t go wrong there! Also on Tuesday is a volleyball tournament at Myers Fieldhouse.

October 4th

The only thing scheduled for the 4th is a blood drive. Although this doesn’t sound like the most fun activity for the week, it’s an important thing to do and there is an added perk: Each team will receive 25 points for each member who volunteers to donate blood, up to 100 points. Go help save a life and earn some points!

October 5th

Office decoration contest judging will take place at 1pm. Later in the evening, starting at 7:30pm, the homecoming lipsync and coronation will begin! This event will be sure to get you pumped up for the rest of the weeks activities.

October 6th

The day is packed full of activities starting at 4pm with the Maverick Machine Homecoming Celebration. There are two events at 6pm including the Athletics Hall of Fame dinner and woman’s volleyball against MSU Moorhead. Closing out the night will be a bonfire and fireworks at 7:30pm and a homecoming concert featuring Kid Ink at 9pm!

October 7th

It’s finally here: gameday. If you thought yesterday was jam packed, just wait until you see what is all taking place today. Starting early at 9am is the President’s pancake breakfast next to the fountain on campus. Who doesn’t love free pancakes? Two events start at 11am including the homecoming parade and woman’s volleyball versus Northern State. Shortly after at 11:30am will be Mavericks on the Mall.

We aren’t quite done with the day yet!

The big event you’ve been anticipating all week, the MSU football game versus MSU Moorhead, will start at 2pm. Finally, to finish off the night (and the busy week of events) will be the homecoming dance starting at 7pm to (hopefully) celebrate a Maverick homecoming victory.

Win or lose, it’s certain there will be many fun, memorable activities to join in on this week. Arch + Cable Hotel wished you a fun, safe homecoming week. Go Mavericks!
